Edge of Tomorrow (2014) : DIE DIE DIE ...... and then play with the POWER OF GOD (6/10)

Here comes the legend Tom Cruise with his new Sci-fi and just like his last one, "Oblivion", this new one is another disappointment as well. It has great action, superb active, cool gadgets, dangerous and intelligent aliens, humor, guns, big swords, time travel, rebirth, beautiful female protagonist, mad scientists, almost everything a science fiction movie needs. So, why do I say it's disappointing? Because it lacks a solid story. To be more precise, if one is to ask me what was the story about, I can explain to him in just a few min.

The story has a plot for sure, but the script writer didn't put much energy on the plot development. There wasn't even much of a dialogue. The creepy aliens were not really creepy, we have seen same kind of alien character design in many other films. The time traveling theory has a lot of flows. Hmm.. wait, it's not really time travel, it's like rebooting time from an old save data. Just like a game. LOL. I can understand aliens having time travel capability, but rebooting time is like playing with the power of GOD. What the hell was the author thinking?  HA HA HA............ at the end even Tom Cruise becomes GOD.

Anyway, if i let go of it's flows in the story, the movie itself was quite amusing and entertaining. Good music too. But hey, aren't we bored with all these post apocalyptic wars? Aren't we seeing too much of them recently?

So, considering the great flows in the story and it's theoretical weakness, I will give this movie a 6/10. Hmm.. how come it got a 8.1 in IMDB? Well, everyone has their own taste.
