First Impression (Winter 2014-2015): Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (8.37/10) - Let's Kill Koro Sensei

~My First Impresson~

Is it a boy? or is it a girl? Hmm... the protagonist loos too confusing. Well anyway, another weird and strangely good anime. Seems the new season is finally picking up it's pace. The story of a stupid octopus looking teacher and the trouble children. The art is strange, specially the protagonist Nagisa, is that really a boy? or a cross dressing girl? I see no boobs but the blue haired face looks like a loli girl... ha ha ha... the mangaka really loves to play with his art. I say great one. This anime has good action, good comedy, the conflicting minds of troubled teenagers, lolis, bullies and so on. Loved the first episode and this will be another series in my TO WATCH list. This is gonna turn out a great school comedy of this season.

First Impression (Winter 2014-2015): Death Parade (8.83/10) - Humans are Wicked Creature

~My First Impresson~

Finally something good to talk about. I was going mad with all the stupid ecchi and loli based anime of this season. Death Parade is the first psychological genre anime this season and it came out pretty impressive. The series is an alternate version of the 2013 original movie Death Billiard. The death game played in the Bar is a way to judge the worth of a human soul. Humans could be good, and they could be bad as well. The first episode focused on how things can be wrong in a conjugal life. The dark atmosphere, the emotionless face of the bartender, the game that puts your life in the line, the perfect animation and music to support the story..... simply superb. This show kind of reminds me of xxxHolic and Hell Girl. I think it may turn out to be one of the best anime of this season. Can't wait for the next episode.

First Impression (Winter 2014-2015): Absolute Duo (5.12/10) - I have no Word

~My First Impresson~

I knew from the light novel, that this one is going to be a ecchi, harem fan service based anime. So, I wasn't expecting much of it. But after watching the first episode, I'm completely speechless...... where is that promised ecchi and fan service? With all the new big breasted girls in other anime, this one is different with small boobs. The female characters are designed like loli with a mix of chibi flavor... not sexy at all, and not ecchi. If you look closely to the image I added in this review, all three girls look exactly same except the hair and eye color. Even the male characters are small in height and chibi like. I don't know what the animators were thinking. As for the animation, not sure whether it's really this bad or is it because of my source. There are enough comedy in it, but because of how they are presented, I failed to laugh. Don't know about you guys, but I'm dropping this series. It will be a waste of time.

First Impression (Winter 2014-2015): Shinmai Maou no Testament (6.28/10) - Another Highschool DxD (Failed attempt)

~My First Impresson~

A three way battle between God, Devils and the human Hero where the main heroin is a red haired Highschool Girl who is also the future Demon Loard, the companion is a silver haired loli, both of them can use demon magic, they live with a young boy who turns out to be a Hero, and whenever he wishes an armor+sword appears in his right arm, and he is fused with so much power........... hmm... ............ hmm... .. oh? .............. wait........ why does all this sounds similar? hmm..? Really?

Yap, this series looks like an alternate retelling of HighSchool DxD. The three side war, the demon girl, the hero with a device in his arm... all matches. I wonder what were the producers thinking making this anime now when HighSchool DxD is about to have a 3rd season?

The art is good, sound is nice, action? hmm... there wasn't much in the first episode. The loli is not cute, the ecchi parts are just stupid (they should study DxD more). The story feels too rushed. Probably the scriptwriter tried to include too much in the first episode and just messed it up. The character design is not any where unique. All the characters looks like taken from other anime. Nothing new. This may turn out a good series, or probably one of the worst copy cat anime of this season. I think I will follow it for at least a couple more episodes. Most probably, I will drop it after episode two.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) : Another Childhood Fantasy Ruined (5.57/10)

Among my childhood heroes, the mutant Turtles were one of the top ones. So, when saw a trailer about a live movie for the TMNT, I felt like the revival of my childhood. Just a few minute ago I finished watching this movie, and now I'm dumb struck. Rather than the TMNT, it felt like I saw a Power Rangers or Kamen Rider movie who wore Turtle Battle dress. Hmm... I wonder whether it's really that bad........... or may be because I'm not a KID anymore.

The character design sucks. They look strong, but the same time, horrible. Why are these guys over 6 foot tall? If I remember correctly, the original design of the mutant turtles were short. The new movie made them more monster like. Totally ruined the image. The actions sucks. Specially the end of Raphael and Shreder's fight at the laboratory. Why did Shreder leave before killing Raphael and the others? And how did he move to the tower so fast?

The actions are so slow, not a ninja like. The Shreder is more like a cyborg, than a martial arts master. Damn, this new villain is so stupid. Even his acting sucks.

There are some good fun scenes though mixed with some other not so funny stupid jokes. If I'm to say one good thing about this movie, that will be:

MEGAN FOX'S ASS IS STILL THE SEXIEST ... XD
