First Impression (Summer 2014): Tokyo Ghoul

~Synopsis~

The suspense horror/dark fantasy story is set in Tokyo, which is haunted by mysterious "ghouls" who are devouring humans. People are gripped by the fear of these ghouls whose identities are masked in mystery. An ordinary college student named Kaneki encounters Rize, a girl who is an avid reader like him, at the café he frequents. Little does he realize that his fate will change overnight.

~My First Impression~

Disgusting and quite disturbing. But at the same time, interesting. I guess 'Gore' anime have their own charm. After Attack of the Titans, we had yet to see another super gore anime. And now Tokyo Ghoul has appeared. After watching the first episode, I got hooked up to it. May be I'm also a gore loving otaku.... LOL. Anyway, the story may not be anything unique, the the way the story is told is quite attractive. The animation, music, art everything looks fantastic. I know there is a big fan base of the original Manga series out there. I just hope they won't rush with the anime and kill the fans. With episode 1, it looks good so far.

P.S. Not recommended for people with a chicken heart.
