~Synopsis~

In 1972, the Apollo 17 mission discovered a hypergate to Mars on the surface of the moon. Soon, a war breaks out between Earth and Mars, and Martian soldiers begin to descend from the sky, riding steel giants, intent on exterminating humanity.

~My First Impression~

The starting felt a lot like the Gundam story line... the conflict between the earthlings and space people. Only difference is that this time the space people came from Mars. Still, it's basically same as Gundam. I wonder whether it's even possible for any mecha or space anime to completely get out of the influence of the Gundam world. Probably impossible. Anyway, Aldnoah.Zero making and animation looks really good. Unfortunately the story has nothing new so far. May be it will develop into something more interesting and unique later on. I loved the ending of the first episode. Yet even that's not anything new. Have seen same in a lot other anime and movies. I think I will keep following the series for a while.
