Synopsis

A chance event triggered Shouyou Hinata's love for volleyball. His club had no members, but somehow persevered and finally made it into its very first and final regular match of middle school, where it was steamrolled by Tobio Kageyama, a superstar player known as "King of the Court." Vowing revenge, Hinata applied to the Karasuno High School volleyball club... only to come face-to-face with his hated rival, Kageyama!

My First Impression

And here comes another sports anime. Seems there are a lot of them recently, specially after Kuroko no Basket got popular. So, now we are seeing a varied types of sports anime. Previously I talked about Baby Steps, the Tennis anime, and now this one is about Volleyball. If i'm not mistaken, there should be another coming this season about Table Tennis. Anyway, this is the first time for me to watch an anime based on volleyball. But it felt great. The atmosphere, the challenge and the tension. But it also felt like they rushed too much with the first episode. I didn't read the manga, but it looks like they squeezed too many chapters in to one episode. The main character reminds me of the pitcher from Ookiku Furninkabutte (forgot the neme). At the same times the cool and serious face of his rival and now team mate, and the protagonist's orange hear makes a feeling of Slam Dunk. Whether it will become as great as Slam Dunk or not, only time will say. But I will keep an eye on this series.

Hmm... now that it reminds me, there is a dorama on volleyball, I think it's called "Oppai Volleyball" where a teacher promised to show her oppai to the students if they win their volleyball matches. hmm... I wonder where i saved the domara. It's high time I watch that too :P
